There
are several classes of membership in the Morris County Bar Association.
All members are subject to the conditions and provisions of
the Association's By-laws.
General Membership
is available to any attorney who is in good standing of the
Bar of the State of New Jersey and who resides, works, or
maintains an office for the practice of law in Morris County.
Limited Membership is
available to any attorney who is a member in good standing
of the Bar of the State of New Jersey, or the bar of any other
state of the United States, or the bar of any federal court
of the United States, and who has substantial contacts with
Morris County.
Associate Membership is
available to individuals who serve as a judicial clerk or
is a law school student and who has substantial contacts with
Morris County. Associate members shall not have the right
to vote and shall not be allowed to serve as trustees or officers
of the association.
Honorary Membership
is available to: The Chief Justice and Associate Justices
of the Supreme Court of New Jersey; the Judges of the United
States District Court for the District of New Jersey; the
Judges of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third
Circuit who reside in New Jersey; the Judges of the Superior
Court of New Jersey; and any of the foregoing who are retired
as members of the Judiciary. Honorary Membership is also available
to 50 year members of the Morris County Bar Association. Honorary
Members are not required to pay Association dues or assessments.
